The megalomaniacal and despotic oppressor of his impoverished and isolated country. This man and others like him are the reason that we should revive the time honored practice of political assassination.

Ever since he began the process of taking power in North Korea in 1991, Kim Jong Il has worked to isolate his country, following his policy of self reliant isolationism (Juche) strangling economic growth. Any dissent or even differing opinions are considered disloyalty, and he keeps an iron grip on the state-controlled media, to include rigid control of internet access (in the few places that have it).

in the late '90's he adopted the 'military first' policy which eventually spread to all facets of government, in which the military gets the first of everything. This ideology might explain why he is so dead set on aquiring nuclear weapons while his people starve. Of course, it could be argued that the technology will be used for reactors to boost industry, but in view of his past performance, who believes that?
